Yes these cushions are crocheted. Tunisian crochet to be exact.
This is what you'll need to make one.
- Approx. 330m x 3mm Bobbiny Cotton Cords
- 35cm 6mm Tunisian Crochet Hook
- Cushion Insert 41cm x 41cm
- Yarn needle to weave in ends
I have found that 40 rows of 50 stitches works well for a 41cm square cushion. Of course the beautiful Tunisian smock stitch is shown on the front and the Tunisian simple stitch for the back.
This is a link to the tutorial I used for the Tunisian Crochet Smock Stitch. I checked out quite a few youtube videos and found Oana is great at explaining the method. This stitch does take some getting used to but what a result!!
There are lots of tutorials for the Simple Stitch and as the name suggests it's simple so I won't add a link here.
I hope this inspires you to make one of these cushions. Or maybe even more than one.
